My old pc i have had for a year has just recently stopped working, it's made a constant ongoing beep and wouldn't display, so naturally I took it to my mate who is far better with computers than I, but we both aren't as skill as many people, so naturally he gave me a bunch of new parts and upgrades the only thing of mine still in it of mine originally is one of my hdds and one of the ram sticks everything else changed/upgraded. For context it currently is not in a case as the only case I have does not fit the parts and the other night we had it running just fine outside the case anyway, regardless I get home and start rebuilding it turns on just fine rgb works but it still won't display and the ez debug cpu light is on and I can't get it to turn off, I have tried reseting cmos (assuming I did it right) through process of bridging cmos header pins for 10s, I've tried reseating all the parts and I don't know what to do

Specs:
Msi mpg b550 gaming edge wifi mother board
Ryzen 5 3600
Radeon R9 380x 4gb
Temporary(my mates room mates just encase mine don't work) kingston fury ddr4 8gb ram
(Mine) sk hynix 8gb ddr4 ram
(Mine) kingston 8gb ddr4 ram
Seagate barracuda 2tb hdd
Toshiba 1tb hdd
(Assuming this is the exact one(just going off the label)) equites T550 psu

Please help, any tips appreciated

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

it's made a constant ongoing beep
Can you clarify the sequence of the beep? In other words, please pay attention the how many long and short beeps you hear. Regarding your motherboard, use this video;

to assist you in flashing the BIOS to the latest version, then again if your friend is the one who's adept at PC hardware, might want to ask him what BIOS version the board's on before you potentially ruin it.

Please don't mix and match ram sticks. Work with one stick, populating slot A2 on the motherboard. As for the system, might want to drop the processor onto another known working motherboard with the right BIOS version, to rule out your processor(or the integrated memory controller in it) being the faulty part.

the PSU you're working with? If so, that doesn't' look like a reliably built unit. How old is the unit?

On a side note, you might want to list the specs to your former build, for some context.

Yes that appears to be the exact psu, as far as my old specs go from my memory it was a Nividia GTX 1050, the kingston 8gb ddr4 ram stick originally mentioned, the Seagate barracuda 2tb hdd I am unsure as to the mother board. The cpu was an Intel core i7 8700, if it helps at all it was a Acer predator po3-600, as far as the beeps went it was a literal loud long beep, no breaks unless the pc was turned off, reasonably high pitched too, it doesn't make the beep anymore since the part swap/upgrade however since this one had ez debug LEDs it shoes the cpu light, rather worrying especially seeing as far as I am aware aside from swapping cpus entirely I have tried everything, and don't know what to from here
