That Power supply is very nice, maybe a bit overkill for your setup, but it will be future-proof for years to come. Do you intend on overclocking the video card? if so, i would have gone with the ASUS brand. Allows for voltage tweak and OC is under warranty.

im sure someone will come in here and bash the velociraptor but i have one in my system and i have noticed a great improvemnet over a standard drive. The dominator ram is top of the line and highly rated! Im not to sure about the light on brand so no coment.. XFX is an awesome company Double lifetime warranty and it covers overclock!!! And i hear the i7 is supposed to be a great processor!

So sounds good

thanks for the replys. FO rnow i dont think im overcloking the video card..i will be overcloking the cpu though...i dont think i can push that card to much higher anyway. Its the xxx edition so its already overclocked from manufacture so i doubt i can push so much higher to make a difference..thoughts?

oo and btw i agree i love the raptor harddrive have them for years...solid state may one day take them over but there way to expesinve and not worth it to me...this is the best harddrive for desktop no matter what they dont want to admit..minus solid states

Nice setup. It'll be awesome provided some idiot doesn't spill soda down the top fan, which always seems to happen.

+1 to liking the Velociraptor; people have their grudges against it for whatever reason, but I've never found them to be anything but fast and overall helpful to the system's peformance.

Light-ON FYI has been making optical drives for many, many years. My first Cd recorder was a Light-ON, back in 1998. Thing cost me almost 400 dollars
I currently have a 48x24x48 CDRW, and I have had it installed for nearly 7 years, along with my DVD-R Dual layer. My opinion of Light-On's optical products is that there isn't anything better out there.

The iHAS424-98 drive is apparently a rebadged Optiarc AD-7240S. I hope you have better luck with yours than I've had mine. I have experienced constant crc errors trying to install Bioshock 2 as well as 1335 corrupt cab errors trying to install Crysis.

I'd consider 2 out of 2 failures to be off to a bad start.

It's a solid build. I don't buy the Raptors, but +1 for it, I've used them and they are speedy little things. I usually go cheap and buy a 64GB SSD for my OS, and a regular 7200RPM drive for stuffing random useless crap in. You'll be very happy with that build though, congrats.
