My current build
1440P
CPU - Ryzen 5 5600x
RAM - (32GB) 4x8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance
MOBO - MSI B550-A Pro
GPU - EVGA 2080 Super
PSU - Corsair Gold 650w
Case - Corsair 5000D
Keyboard - Corsair K70 RGB Pro
Mouse - Corsair Scimitar
(I'm not a corsair fanboy, It was pure coincidence that I have mostly Corsair components.)
Recently my PC has been seeming slower and requires I lower settings from Ultra to Medium or Low depending on game.
So I'm gonna be building a new PC around March 2025. My new build I know for sure I want Micro ATX as I'm past my show off RGB everything etc. stage. I just want something small and compact with great performance in 1440p. Below are a few builds I've looked into. Any suggestions or advice to maximize performance with budget. The GPU is just a placeholder as I want to get a 5070/5070TI/9070/9070XT. As these prices are currently not available I just marked it as $700. My biggest issue is deciding to go Ryzen 7600x/7700x or 9600x/9700x. I play a variety of games from World of Warcraft to Black Ops 6 and many games in between.
