New PC build (~2.000 Dollar build / ~11.000DKK )

Hello everyone, I'm about to build/buy a new PC, and this is what I've got in mind...



Approximate Purchase Date: During the next two weeks.

Budget Range: ~2.000 USD (which is basically equivalent to the Danish currency of 11.000DKK).

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, and the occasional internet surfing.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes, expecting to aquire a 24", LED, 1920x1080, DVI+HDMI screen around Christmas.

Location: Denmark

Overclocking: Yes, to some extent. Just some moderate OCing.

Why Are You Upgrading: My current desktop is ~5 years old. It's NOISY and lacking in all aspects by now.

Processor: Intel® Core i5-3570K Processor Socket-LGA1155, Quad Core, 3.4Ghz, 6MB.

CPU Cooling: Corsair H60 Hydro Series CPU Cooler.

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H, Socket-1155, ATX, Z77, DDR3, 1xG3+1xG2-PCIe-x16, CFX, mSATA, VGA, DVI, HDMI, UEFI.

RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL9 Kit w/ 2x 4GB XMS3 modules.

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 670 2GB PhysX CUDA PCI-Express 3.0, "Power Edition" w/ Twin Frozr 4.

SSD: Samsung SSD 830 Series 128GB 2.5", OEM SATA 6Gb/s (SATA3.0), 520MB/320MB/s read/write, Basic Kit, MZ-7PC128B/WW.

HDD: Seagate Barracuda® 1TB SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3.0), 64MB Cache, 7200RPM, 3.5".

Drop the H60, the performance isn't worth the price. A decent air cooler like the Noctua NH-D14 and Thermalright Silver Arrow can do a much better job.

Change brand on the 670. I'll let the link below explain.

Get the Low Profile version of the Vengeance RAM so you'll have an easier time installing the coolers. There is no performance loss whatsoever.

I don't really like Seagates, they have a history of a mass failure.. I would suggest you get the Caviar Black from Western Digital. Much more reliable, and it has a 5-year warranty compared to Seagate's 3.

Even a Hyper 212+ or an Enermax ETS-40 will do the job for cooling. I'm sure you can find a cheaper DVD drive from a lesser known bramd. You might want to consider a 240/256GB SSD if you want to store your applications/games on the SSd too.
