Specs:
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE 66.17 CFM
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Storage: Western Digital Black SN850X 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD
GPU: Asus DUAL GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB
Case: Phanteks Eclipse G360A
PSU: ESGaming 80 Plus Gold Power Supply APFC 750W, Fully Modular ATX Computer Gaming PSU

Question is mostly as in the title, all components went in good and fans are spinning and such, the only thing that doesnt work is well, the entire thing, red cpu light is on solid. I am aware that the B650 needs a BIOS update to support the 7800X3D. I did that, though not entirely sure, but pretty certain that it worked and updated the BIOS. Any help to figure out why the cpu debug light is on, thanks in advance.

did you plug in the EPS/ATX12V 8pin connector to the motherboard? And on the other side to the PSU as well?
Yes the cpu cable is plugged in, though, there are to 8pin slots on the motherboard, with cpu-pwr 1 and 2, from what I’ve read it should be able to run just fine with only one 8 pin cable in, I would do both but my power supply only came with one.

You don't need to connect more more than one 8-pin CPU power cable to the motherboard in order for the computer to work.

When you updated the BIOS, did you use a different (older) CPU? If so, put the old CPU back in and check to see if the red LED is extinguished.

If the system works with the old CPU, e.g. boots into Windows, check the BIOS version to see if it's sufficiently recent to support your new X3D CPU. These X3D chips need a recent BIOS.

Check the MSI web site for the latest BIOS version for your mobo and compare it with the BIOS version actually installed. If you can't read the BIOS version number when the computer starts, dive into the BIOS and search. If you don't have the latest BIOS, install it.
