Hello,

I'm new to the PC building world and I have no idea about anything which is why I've come to all of you. I'm a competitive PvP gamer on Ps4 Destiny 2 and Xbox One Halo 5. I sometimes play league on PC as well but would like to be able to play other games on Steam that my laptop cannot handle. I have a decent budget from $1000 to $1500 MAX.

This doesn't include Monitor, keyboard, mouse and gaming router for open NAT which I am seeking recommendations to!!! I want something that can handle hours of gaming and streaming. I would also like a capture card that will record the entire thing if possible. What kind of memory am I looking at for this? Please help me as I don't want to buy the incorrect components for a gaming build that may be used for work with programs such as MATLAB, LabView, Solidworks, Visio, Nx, etc.

Thank you.

sounds like you are doing some heavy multi tasking.

ryzen 7 is a great choice for game/stream pc. you could go for intel build too, but i believe that ryzen is really good for it's price. you may want to add a few extra fans in this case.

this pc should handle 1440p high/ultra setting without any issue. it should also handle calculation work quite well.

These are all great recommendations as they come from builders with experience. As for using adobe products such as photoshop and illustrator, would the PC handle this as well? My wife is a photographer and will be using these products to edit her photos before handing them to her customer.

You dont need such high power PSU, 600w is more than enough.. other than that wouldn't change anything.

Here's an Intel alternative.

What do you suggest would be recommended for a later upgrade to obtain 1440p 144hz?

The GTX 1080 Ti is comparing pretty close to the RTX 2080. I might just get the Ti and save a few bucks or would you recommend something else? I'm interested in getting 1440p 144Hz.

LogainOfHades suggested this: Zotac - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB AMP! Edition Video Card

and I've thought about upgrading to this: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB SC2 Video Card
