I recently put together my first PC build. I am fairly confident that I've done everything correctly. I've tried a lot to make my PC run but I can't figure it out. If needed here is a list of the parts in my system.

Case: Corsair - 780T ATX

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700k

Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 0 G1 Gaming 3G (rev. 1.0) OC Edition Graphics Card - 3 GB GDDR5 - 192-bit - 1620 MHz

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

RAM: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

PSU: Corsair - CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

The first thing that stands out is the Z170 board with the 7xxx processor.
You board probably needs a BIOS update to use that processor.
You will need a supported processor to update it or you could try a local PC shop to see if they can update it.

ok, thank you! I will try this. If I was to get the cheapest supported processor which do you think would suit best.

I think I am going to buy an Intel Pentium Processor G4400 3.3 GHz for this. Will this work fine?
