New PC Build with downloadable OS? Will it work?

Hello there. Now I have built my bro a PC on a website and it is coming in the next week. I have found Windows 7 OS keys for £15 online which I thought would be better than £50+ for a CD. But it has just hit me that when we load up the computer, it will not be able to access the internet, to download the OS. So is there anyway I can buy the OS on my computer and get it onto his to install the OS on his PC?

That is most likely a scam. Any legit Microsoft reseller would not be able to sell it that cheap. Most likely the key you get will be a generated key or someones MSDN key(not legal to resell) and if it even works will end up being deactivated.

Those are fake keys, you will have problems, typically 1yr after installation.

Nope. and the £15 key don't sound legal either.

Note that it says that it requires a telephone activation, that's because they've harvested them from dead machines, and the reactivation is because you have changed the hardware. IT IS ILLEGAL.

OP you will need to buy a proper licensed copy.
