[SOLVED] New pc build wont power

Hi everyone,

I'm building a pc with New and old components.

MOBO: MSI Tomahawk MAX (NEW)
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (NEW)
GPU: ASROCK PHANTOM RX 570 8GB (7 months old)
PSU: Xilence performance C 500W (4/5 YEARS OLD)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200mhz (NEW)
SSD: Kingston A400 480GB (NEW)
Kingston A400 120GB (4/5 YEARS OLD)
HDD: SEAGATE BARRACUDA 2TB (4/5 YEARS)

I have everything connected right but when i press the power button nothing bleeps.
Only if i press the bios flash button is gives a red light.
I can send specific photo's

Hi, Try testing the power supply with a paper clip. See if running.

Does everything else needs to be disconnected? Like cpu power cable ect.

Yes, try connecting only a fan to the molex. See if the fan does spin.

Try connectind only the 24 pin cable from PSU and a case fan to motherboard, start the board and see if the case fan does spin.

So unplug everything, even like the cpu and ram. Except fans?

Leave CPU, CPU cooler, RAMs and case fans connected. Leave the 8 pin CPU power cable disconnected.

Yes. Just try starting the board and see what happens.

Yes. Now try disconnecting the front button wires from motherboard and shorting the 2 pins (PWR Btn and GND) with a screwdriver or similar. See if the case fans (connected to motherboard) do spin.

What do you mean with shorting the 2 pins?

Shortly touching them with a metal tool. It's what the button does when pressed: connecting the two pins.

so i have to touch the 2pin cable (power switch) with the ground by something conductive? What is exactly the ground? And can i use a paperclip?

I touches Both pin 6 and 8 and pressed the power button but nothing happend. Should something happens? Cause the isn't any power in the circulation between the power button and pin 6 and 8 right

When I wanted to remove my cpu fan, the cpu sticked to the fan. So I pulled the fan of with my fingers (only touched the sides). And when I got it loose my finger slipped on the golden pins. Nothing was broken or dirty so I put it back in. Could this be the cause?

That cable is connected to the red connector. It's a pci-e cable for my gpu

The PCIe cable is supposed to be connected to the graphics card. Not sure what red connector you meant. There are good tutorials on youtube for how to install a system.
Try disconnecting it and testing again.
