[SOLVED] New pc build wont power

Hi everyone,

I'm building a pc with New and old components.

MOBO: MSI Tomahawk MAX (NEW)
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (NEW)
GPU: ASROCK PHANTOM RX 570 8GB (7 months old)
PSU: Xilence performance C 500W (4/5 YEARS OLD)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200mhz (NEW)
SSD: Kingston A400 480GB (NEW)
Kingston A400 120GB (4/5 YEARS OLD)
HDD: SEAGATE BARRACUDA 2TB (4/5 YEARS)

I have everything connected right but when i press the power button nothing bleeps.
Only if i press the bios flash button is gives a red light.
I can send specific photo's

The PCIe cable is supposed to be connected to the graphics card. Not sure what red connector you meant. There are good tutorials on youtube for how to install a system.
Try disconnecting it and testing again.

Huh but it's a 6+2 pin. That's supposed to go into my gpu like shown in the picture

No I have routed my power cable through an hole in the pc. It is connected to the psu

Can you remove all cables but the 24 pin power cable one and post again a picture?

Now, try connecting a case fan to a Cha_Fan header on board then starting the board by shortly touching with a screwdriver the 2 pins on board corresponding to the case power button (PWR Btn and GND). See if the case fan does spin.

Does any cables need to get in to the mobo in order for the fan to work. I don't mean the sys_fan but like the cpu power cable

Only the 24 pin one and starting the board by the power switch on case, or shorting the 2 pins on board corresponding to it.

The fan won't spin

Assuming that the power supply does work, then it looks like a board issue. Try returning it, to be replaced.

did your old motherboard using 4 pin cup power connector ?
if you still have your old motherboard try check it with your psu.

In my old pc I used to same psu. So same cable as you see in the picture

check your power and reset button leads is correctly connected to motherboard check it here
otherwise try again and check your PC with different PSU Best of luck .
