cpu - ryzen 5600g
MoBo - B550M-K
(checked cpu is compatible.)
GPU - RTX4060 (Took out the gpu for the moment.)
PSU - 800w

Do I need to install an operating system to make it work ? I'm sure that the pc has to atleast turn on to even do that. I have no OS installed yet.

Like the title, cpu cooler rotates so short I would notice and the pc case fan rotates too extremely short it's a twitch, you'd not notice if you don't look carefully.

Also if I press the power button again, nothing happens. Until I switch the psu switch to 0 then back to 1 then press the power button it will rotate again only once.

My MoBo has this orange light on on the lower left hand corner to know power is on.

Things I tried.

Unplugging all cables on back of pc then psu switch to 0, take out the CMOS battery, press power button for 5 seconds (tested again this time for 5 minutes.) put the cmos battery back and plug all cables, psu to 1 and power button on.

Taking out the ram sticks and pressing all the way in. Also tried having only one ram stick and pressing the power button.

As in the photo MoBo psu connector is connected, psu or cpu power on the top right corner is connected, cpu cooler fan is connected, front panel power btn = power sw(switch) connected, CHA_fan2 connected for pc case fans. Psu switch to 1 switched so can see orange light on MoBo and it did rotate for a short moment so it must mean some kind of short.

Standoffs are perfectly installed I always triple check things and the screws all nicely screwed. The manual says 8 total and it's all nicely screwed.

For the cpu cooler also I had to screw little by little for the 4 screwing spots since if I screw 1 by 1 tight, it will float mid air and unable to screw. Strangely on youtube vids I see people screwing 1 by 1 all the way in. I noticed I can screw little by little by the comment.

The cpu processor also checked the arrow or triangle to be matched then placced the lever down to finish installing, checked to lift the processor which it did'nt.

Pc power cable is connected directly to the wall.

It would take a very long time to take out the motherboard at this point and check the standoffs and stuff although if needed gotta do it. I checked so many times so I'm sure it was perfect.

What is the make and model of the PSU?

Did you breadboard the system before you dropped them into the case? This where you build the system outside atop of a motherboard box and see if the system POST's and eventual display.

It would be a short, since a corrupt BIOS would either show no life after power up or the fans would spin endlessly without any display.

well it's a foreign one though I wonder if it helps.

Brand - FSP
Model - HP2-800

Breadboard ? Like building before instaling the MoBo ?
I installed the cpu processor then cpu cooler then the rams.
After then I had to install the MoBo on the pc case to progress.

Short ? corrupt bios ? what do you mean ?
what should I do ?
Did I discharge electricity while working on it ?

While Asus has it on the supported list, you need to be on BIOS version 2403 or newer for it to work.

You might be able to use the Crash Free Bios feature to maybe update the bios to a newer version. If not then you will have to find a 3rd gen cpu or older to flash the bios to use the 5th gen cpu.

What ? you checked and it's actually not compatible ? So I got it right but it's just not compatible till I do the crash free bios thing ?

I don't understand why they did'nt put a huge red capital letters to notice it then. It was already sad it's not a B550M-A for rgb when I have rgb. bad luck and need to know all way too much 100% perfection to get it right. Damn beginners should never build on their own. lol
It does say 3rd gen cpu ughh.
Only if it did'nt said it is compatible on website or something.
it's the 5th gen and I don't know why they bother to sell 3rd gen.

I don't even have an extra pc now.
as if this usb thing is easy thing to do to begin with.

So I guess problem is found ?
Can I use a smart phone and buy something that can connect usb with phone and download update the bios ?
