You really do not want to OC 4th gen cpus at 1.4v. Intel set voltage maximums for 4th gen is 1.3v. Apart from the heat tolerances, you'll fry that cpu in short order at 1.4v.

My 3rd gen i7-3770K will sit at 4.9GHz @1.32v all day, my i5-3570k sits at 4.3 @ 1.108v. It's not the speed that's the concern here, but your lack of understanding exactly how to OC a Haswell. Return it to factory defaults, and go looking for info. There's a wealth of info on OC out there, and not just on YouTube, but also in places like Asus ROG forums etc. You can read any brand or board, the theory behind OC is all the same, only bios terminology might change, but the settings do the exact same thing regardless of actual name.

At 4.4GHz, you shouldn't be anywhere near 1.3v, nevermind 1.4v.
