Getting ready to build a PC for light office work and would like to use USA components if possible but I don't want anything made in China. I need something extremely reliable/durable. One my last built, I used: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H, two, 1 TB HDs that are set up RAID 1, one 120 GB crucial SSD, Intel i5, Ballistix sport 16 GB Xs 2 (made in USA at the time), EVGA 500 watt.
The Ballistix were built in USA at the time but just chatted with their tech and that's not the case anymore. Could be Mexico, China or a few other places and I was told I could not find out in advance since the build same components in multiple countries - can't tell until I open the box. No thanks.
Budget is about $1,000 on components (no monitor needed). Any suggestions on brands or will I get a similar answer to what Crucial told me?
