Would agree what flippi just said. Would of prefreefed to put a 980ti in the build I suggested but went over budget. Two 970s in SLI is better than a single 980.

I cannot suggest 4GB GDDR5 sli/crossfire gpus for 4k gaming anymore.
This is a problem already w/ some new AAA games.

GTX970 is 3.5+0.5 and the slower 0.5 will be really taxed for 4k gaming.

Yea i agree 4GB is hitting limits with 4k. Maybe 'if' the Dx12 double stacking Vram with multiple gpus would maybe see 970's be a second guess.

It really depends on what games the OP wants to play in 4K though....you can do some basic 4K gaming in games like LoL, WoW etc with an FX6350 and an R9 285.
