New PC for Parents, give me options

Parts to Upgrade: All parts.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes (windows 7 professional seems like best choice to me)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com, and maybe NCIX.com if cheaper

Location: City, Washington State

Parts Preferences: Corsair and ASUS seem pretty solid. A silent CPU Cooler would be nice as well, maybe Noctua. Are on-board graphics good enough?

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1440x900, and 1920x1080 to watch on Living room TV somehow, via cable or wireless HDMI

Additional Comments: I would like a seamless experience, thinking of getting a 120 SSD as well. Perhaps this should be a small case to transfer between computer room and living room.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: New PC for parents. Also looking to build a similar PC for sister, she does have a 1920x1080 monitor, buy they wouldn't be watching movies on it.

Sounds like a fun build. I'd recommend the Intel Pentium G3258. CPU cooler not necessary. Radeon HD 7770 or R7 250X. Go Mini-ITX for size, doesn't seem like you'll need much to fit in the case. Get one that will allow a full size 450W power supply (they're out there). And an SSD is a must, they're just so cheap these days. Opt for a larger SSD, pay the extra, then use that as your primary storage (unless you think they'd have a lot of downloads). You can probably do this for less than $650, OS and other software included.

^should note, this is based on my knowledge for building gaming PC's. I'd prefer that line of thinking when it comes to components because I know they work. It's probably still overkill, however. You MAY be able to get away with a upper tier AMD APU and no extra graphics, but I don't entirely trust the tech yet, but that's admittedly bias.

for mom and dad pc if there not gamers the onboard is fine. if there tv is newer tv they can plug the pc into it and use wireless mouse and keyboard and use the tv as a monitor.

Here are the things that I would probably get come Black Friday, I think I could save $100 from items on sale, and of course items will change based on whats on sale.
I feel the 3.3 GHZ CPU would be excellent, the GPU is undecided, but i like Nvidia, and the smaller profile card. The power supply is best modular, and the case with big ol' handles to move around is perfect.

if you dont mind a larger case local micro center have the g3258 and msi z97 mb combo right now for 99.00.
