Hello everyone

I built a new pc 2 days ago

Specs:
Mobo: Asus Rog Strix Z690 E Gaming Wifi
Processor: Intel I9 12900K
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500gb + 1 SSD + 2 HDD's (no raid)
Graka: EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING
RAM: G-Skill Trident 5R RGB 32gb
Power: Gigabyte Aorus 850W (lost my cables for the bequiet 850, will change again)
Icue AiO LCD

My problem is, that my PC won't allow me to restart or shutdown. It's hard to recreate it but for examples:
- Yesterday I played warzone, after ending the session, i wanted to shutdown the PC but doesn't matter how many times I clicked the buttom, nothing happened.
- Sometimes when I try to install a programm /lets say driver or deinstall it, the process just lags/stops, when i try to make a restart, windows stays in the bluescreen-newstart window.
- When i quit the battle.net app and try to restart it, nothing happens.
- I pluged in a new usb-drive but the file explorer was loading like a 100mhz processor
- I had it a few times when i make a hard shutdown and then restart the pc after a few seconds, only the RAM and AiO Lights are turning on but nothing happens
- Sometimes when I'm in the Bios, make a change and restart, PC won't restart (screen stays black but pc is running)

Those are a few errors I encounted till now.

In BIOS I tried XMP1 and Auto Mode, tried the multiclocking, turned off fast boot, thats it.
I installed the drivers through Asus Amoury and directly from Evga/Nvidia
I deinstalled most of the Asus Software again as a try, didn't change anything.
The SSD is from my previous PC and had no flaws.

Anyone got an idea where to look at?
Thank you very much.

Samsung 970 Evo 500gb + 1 SSD + 2 HDD's (no raid)
what brand are rest of drives?
did you install the Samsung NVMe drivers? here under drivers, might help to run Magician on 970 as well - https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/

I would update BIOS as well as you on the release version - https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z690-e-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_bios
Surprised Armory crate doesn't offer that.

turning this off too might help - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-turn-off-fast-startup-windows-10-a.html

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Power: Gigabyte Aorus 850W (lost my cables for the bequiet 850, will change again)
How old are both units? Are you mixing and matching cables from the units? Could you provide a link to both PSU's?

The SSD is from my previous PC and had no flaws.
Did you reinstall the OS after the (assumed)platform migration?

What OS are you working with and where did you source the installer for the OS? BIOS version for your motherboard? Did you manually install all relevant drivers for your platform in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator? Using the OS to download and install drivers it thinks is right often leads to things going sideways.

Bought this one new. The BeQuiet was never in Use for this PC build or any parts (except for the ssd in the old PC)

The SSD had a VeryCrypt encryption on it which i decrypted before I changed to the new build. I had a new Windows 10 64bit Pro installation where I erased the SSD during the installation.
I downloaded the Win Version from Microsoft.

BIOS: American Megatrends Inc 0503, 09.09.21

After booting the system for the first time, I downloaded a few drivers for the motherboard since it had no internet connection at all(Lan/Wifi), after installing those, I went to Asus and downloaded the Asus Amoury Software which installed all other missing drivers. Then I went to the Evga Homepage and downloaed the Nvidia/Evga drivers for the graphics.
I can't remember if I run all of them as administrator but normally I do, but I really can't remember this anymore.

Seems like I found the issue.

After installing windows on a new ssd, everything worked fine. Then I tried to encrypt the SSD with Veracrypt just like last time, and the problems directly started again.
Seems like there is an issue between veracrypt and part(s) of my build or with the software...
