Question New pc questions.

I have recently assembled a new gaming pc, it being my first time so I’m not too sure if I’ve don’t everytiing correctly.

I’ve got a radeon rx 570 along with an intel i5, 8gb RAM, 500W PSU, MSI motherboard, 1TB HDD etc.

I haven’t got a cpu fan as it is coming in the post next week. I have tried plugging it in for a few seconds to see if it turns on ( don’t worry I know I shouldn’t leave it on for long ) but nothing appears on my monitor? The pc turns on as in the LED lights but with no display? Is this normal for a pc without a cpu cooler? Or should I be worried?

It is common for motherboards to prevent operation if cpu_fan header isn't connected to protect cpu because motherboard doesn't know if cpu is being cooled. Wait for the cooler then we'll see.

Ok so I’ve got the CPU cooler and applied the thermal plaster etc. It still only turns on for about 2 minutes then shuts off. Also there is no display on my monitor either. Help!

List complete specs and model numbers for each part. Especially for psu, motherboard and cpu.
