i recently got a brand new pc from cyberpower, its nothing insane it cost about $800

it has an win8 with amd fx 6300, 8gb ram, zotac geforce gtx750 1gb

this pc is fairly new like 1 week new i have about 4 games installed with a few other programs.

any game i run on normal/medium settings will run smoothly for about like like 10-30 mins and then it starts getting these random frames drops like 15-35 frames drop with lag spike like every couple mins. i also tried offline games and online games and its still the same so its not a connection issue. but some days itll be fine for a few hours and wont ever do it.

my cpu usage reading when im playing gta v is about 70-80% ram usage is about the same and my pc sits around 30c-40c when gaming..
i know gta v is a hard game to run on my type a pc but its not just that i could be playing somthing like counter strike or left for dead 2 where it dont use up a lot of cpu and dont have insane graphics and ill get that random frame drops.

in the background while im gaming i got steam, teamspeak and spotify up.

im not sure what would be causing this..it any ideas??

Hi,
It seems like GPU overheating. Are u sure your GPU runs cool enough? You can easy test the gpu with Furmark it's free and easy to use. Run stress test for a while 30-40 mins should be enough.

Try with this. If there's drops in thist test. Your VGA may be deffective. If not try to lower the resulution in the game, and you need a a monitoring software called gpu-z it's build in into furmark so just run it and in the sensors menu you can choose to show tha max of everything by clicking on name of the value. If the GPU memory usage go to 1 GB your gpu simple not have enough ram to run GTA 5.

Hey dude, it's probably driver issues. Just go ahead and update all the drivers(I personally use Driver Booster, an automatic driver updater), and also go to Nvidia's website to download the drivers. You should be fine after this :D
