Hey I just built a new pc with the specifications are as such
CPU RYZEN 5 2600X
Motherboard MSI X470 GAMING PLUS
Memory CORSAIR VENGEANCE PRO RGB 32 GB @ 3000mhz
PSU - CORSAIR TX850M
OS Windows 10
BIOS Date 20181116
GRAPHICS CARD - ZOTAC RTX 2060

I am playing on a 1080p 60hz monitor the monitor is BENQ GL2450. I have noticed there's fps drop even in games that geforce experience shows as my card is able to run at max settings. Is any of my PC part faulty? I also did a benchmark here are the results

unlikley... have you tried tightening your ram timings?
or are you just using the xmp profile...
if your using xmp, keep it enabled. but set the ram to cas 14 and t1 for now...
boot the system. it may reboot a couple of times as it sorts out the new timings... but if it boots. try your game...
if it plays smoother. you can then manually set the 4 main other timings.
to see what they should be set at. download ryzen timing checker and hwinfo64

open both and look at hwinfo64 and see what timings have been set. and manually input them into the bios...

tightening the timings helped with game stutter on my 2700x build so yeah give it a try on yours.

fixed it for me...
especially with games like GTA5 which seems to like the tighter timings. as i got a massive boost in fps... not kidding either i went from a low of 27 fps at the vinewood sign... after i adjusted the ram it went to 58+ fps on my gtx970 @1080p

just make sure you save the current profile as default. before you make any changes. and also save the changed profile incase it doesnt work. this will just make it easier to make 1 change at a time if you need to...

ps dont use my timings. there specific to my ram...
the highlighted blocks are just where you need to look for the timings you will need for your ram...

just checked my computers bios and saw that the xmp profile was disabled. I enabled now in task manager it says 2933MHZ is that correct? I purchased 2 16gb 3000mhz ram before enabling profile 2 it was disabled and was at 2133 mhz

if its 3000 ram then it should have a xmp profile for 3000 not just 2933. but honestly it wont make much difference between 2933 and 3000
1s your up and running with the rite xmp... then you can move on to manual timings if you want to. but just turning the xmp on should help with stutter.

in apex it might be down to your starage...
do you have it on a hdd or ssd? if hdd then maybe its on a slower part of the disk...
if so play it a few times and windows will move the files it needs most often to a faster part of the disk (outside edge) and as a result, hopefully less stutter.

i got apex myself and im running it on a 2700x gtx970 and for me its smooth...
oh and saying as you hadnt adjusted the XMP have you checked to make sure smt is active? if not enable that 2. aswell as core boost.

disable cool and quiet... (it will allow your sytem to boost to the max)
and go into windows power settings and enable the amd profile (there should be 1 there if you installed the amd security softare.) if not use the high performance profile.

omg its driving me insane, i am getting fps drop in cs go with this cpu and card. in apex i was testing with afterburner 0.1% fps is 4 fps with vsync on and everything on max. in cs go its all on max with no vsync it lags with sync it stutters too, also i am using high performance plan and i just checked SMT in bios its on automatic and other option is disabled, its on auto

me, 1080 as i have a gtx970...
the 2060 should perform well at both 1080 and 1440...

the point of using the dsr scaling is it will load up the gpu more and free up the cpu a little.
if the stutter cleared up, then its a cpu bottleneck... if its still stuttering then its likely you have something running in the background thats not part of the game but causing the game to stutter.

i dont suppose you can post a clip of the stutter?

I changed a few settings in Nvidia control panel and tried a few tighter timings for ram, in the end, I ended up using the preset XMP profile of my ram at 2933 and put card performance to max performance in Nvidia control panel and also changed maximum pre-rendered frames to 1 and now its not lagging, there's only one game that lags and its apex legends and that too very rarely most of my games don't lag anymore.

Thanks for your help Hexit.
