New pc upgrades for my build.

I was looking for a upgrade because my graphics are apu based. I was wondering what was the best card i could get to bump up my performance to 1080p on high on games such as bf4 60fps. I was looking to spend at max 300 dollars but i'm not sure which would be the best choice. I was thinking of a GTX or a R9 280x

I think the R9-280X will be bottlenecked by the APU's processor. Even with a good OC. I base that on the fact that my Phenom II X4 965BE @ 4.0 GHz is maxed out with an R9-280. At least according to CPU/GPU usage tests.

And how high would this increase my gaming preformance?
