New processor ? no Signal on moniter ?

i have a M5A97 Asus mother board i just bought a new Processor AMD FX 4-core 3.6 Ghz 12MB, when i install it everything fires up except i get no signal to my moniter ? ive reset the Bios but i get no signal when i reinstalled my old processer computer starts up normal and i get a siganl on my moniter i have no clue ? i have 10 days to retrurn this processor what should i do ?

wow i didnt know i had to do that nor do i have and idea how to do that ?any links for a quick tuturiol ?
