New Processor not working?

I own a i3 and bought a Intel Core i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz) BX80646I74790K it fits in perfectly I installed the updated bios but when I start it up my mouse and keyboard do not work and bios does not display but when I put my i3 back in it works just fine. Is it the processor that is the problem?

Try taking the battery out of the motherboard to reset the BIOS.

I tryed that and it didn't work still couldn't use my keyboard or mouse and I couldn't see the BIOS screen.

I'm not clear on what happened. You installed the new CPU and it worked. Then you updated the bios and it no longer works right, is that it? And now it works fine with the i3 but not the new CPU?

If yes, then can you use the i3 to reflash the old bios back on. Then install the new CPU and if it works again just leave it alone?

I downloaded the BIOS update on a flash drive while I had the i3 still there I put the flash drive in reset my computer installed the BIOS update then turned off my PC put in the new i7 and I did leave the flash drive in but when I started the computer the BIOS screen didn't show up it was just a black screen and my mouse or keyboard didn't work they weren't even turned on.
