I'm running:

Gigabyte EP45-UD3p
Intel Q9400
2 x Gigabyte HD 5770 1gb in CrossFireX
2 x 2gb Kingtston fancy blue heat-sink memory
1x Corsair 60gb SSD
1 x 1tb USB drive
1 x 120gb 7200 RPM Sata drive

My Ultra X-Finity 600w PSU is dead/dying. The fans are no longer working.

What should I get now? I think I may need to go larger as my system has grown since I purchased this PSU in 2007. Kinda need to know ASAP. Thanks!

Here are the ATI recommended power supply requirements for the ATI Radeon HD 5770 and 5750 video cards:

450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75 watt, 6-pin PCI Express® power connector recommended

600 Watt or greater power supply with two 75 watt, 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode.

The recommendations are for an entire pc system..

Corsair and Seasonic are two brands that have a reputation for high quality power supplies that consistently earn high marks in technical reviews. They are reliable, stable, and come with a 5 year warranty. Some of the newer models come with a 7 year warranty.

The Corsair HX650 you linked to is an excellent choice. :D

Thank you so much. I honestly think I may have pushed my current PSU too much with the new 5770s in Crossfire in addition to OCing my q9400 pas 3.6ghz.

I'm either going to have to order from Newegg or go Frys and see what they have. I have a box fan blowing on the system now with the cover off and I can at least surf the web. I removed one of my GPUs and unplugged everything else not needed.

Yes, agreed.....the Corsair HX series is a great choice, especially at $110. For comparison purposes , the list below contains performance ratings (10 scale) at jonnyguru.com / prices as per newegg on 02/26/2010 and ones w/ double asteris (**) made it onto silentpcreview.com's Editor's Choice List:

Note: Just because you see a brand name on this list, never make the assumption that their other lines are of matching quality. Silverstone for example has other models w/ 6.0 and 7.0 ratings.

Antec Signature 650W (10.0) OOS **
Seasonic X-650 650W (10.0) $160 **
Silverstone Olympia OP650 (10.0) NFS

Thermaltake Toughpower QFan 650W (9.5) NLA

Antec Earthwatts EA650 650W (9.0) $75

Antec True Power Trio 650W (7.5) NLA

XFX XPS 650W XXX Edition Power Supply (7.0) NFS

Antec NeoPower Blue 650W (6.5) NLA

BFG BFGR650PSU 650W (6.0) NLA

NorthQ Black Magic Flex 650W PSU (5.0) NFS

NFS - Not For Sale / NLA = No Longer Available / OOS - Out of Stock

Thanks a ton for the advice. I'm freezing my butt off with my PC room ac unit cranked to 61*f BUT with this box fan pushing into my case my cpu is at 35*c while playing wow on ultra. Weird that Crysis crashes me with the PSU not having any fans running.

Crysis might run if ran on low settings but then there is no point.
