New Ram help

I bought 2 sticks of Corsair vengeance ddr3 1600 mhz and i went into bios loaded xmp and set them for 1600(Asrock h97 pro4 is my motherboard). Why is msi afterburner showing memory speed at 1300?

May not be reading the ASRock mobo correctly. Get the free app CPU-Z and see what it shows in the Memory tab for frequency - it will half of what it is actually running at since it's DDR (DOUBLE data rate) so true freq x 2 = effective data rate.
