New Ram Kingston Hyper X 2400 - System wont boot

[Bloodborne]

I bought a new stick of ram: http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/hx324c11t3k2_16.pdf

And I have this mobo: https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/specifications/

The problem is my screen remains black upon startup. I tried changing the ram to 2400 - still no success. This ram is dd3 and should work with my mobo no?

Could it be dead? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

have you tried reseating it to every possible spot? Placing mattered for me when I first built me second PC
