Question New RAM won't overclock (D.C.O.P.)

Hey,

I have a AMD Ryzen 5 2600, a ASUS Prime B450M-A and just bought a new quad channel set of RAM.

Team T-Force Vulcan TLGD432G3000HC16CQC01 (4x8GB), 3000MHz DDR4, CL16-18-18-38, 1.35V.

For whatever reason, the RAM is fine if I leave it at 2400MHz but if I activate D.C.O.P. to get it to 3000MHz, my PC tries to boot a few times and then boots in safe mode and I have to set it down to 2400MHz.

Any idea what the issue could be?

AMD running at 2933, do manual ram settings.

Set it manually to 2933MHz and it still didn't like it.

return the ram and get 2x16GB

Could part of his problem be the quad channel he mentioned.

Seems like the quad channel could be the issue.

Looks like my CPU doesn't like quad channel RAM. Guess it will have to stay at 2400MHz.
