[SOLVED] New reused build, 5 beeps, no video.

I have an i7 8700k on a Gigabyte motherboard H370N Wifi, then i bought a new motherboard and an i5 9th gen so I could make 2 different PC. I used the i5 9th gen to intall it to the H370N wifi motherboard, turned it on and had 5 short beeps when I turned it on. Checked it was a cpu malfunction so i reseted the motherboard by removing the battery and made the bridge. I rebuilt it but it still made the 5 short beeps, still with no video on the display. What should i do? Or did I just kill the CPU? I will be very thankful.

did you upgrade the motherboard bios with the 8700k ?

I did. But wont the BIOS reset, by the CMOS battery, clear that for a fresh set up?

you need the latest bios to use 9th gen.
and no bios reset only reset the settings, not version

So to update the BIOS version, I just download the compatible version on a USB stick, plug it, start the PC up? Even if I can't enter to the BIOS?

you need the 8700k in the system to update the bios

Well, it still works with the i7 8700k. I updated it to one of the lates version for 9th gen processors but when booting it still made the 5 short beeps. So, could it be that i5 processor is faulty?

yeah, that sound like cpu having issue.
