New Rig Build. Would it meet my wants?

CPU: AMD 8350 Processor
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 960
MEM: 8 GB
PSU : OCZ ZS 750 Watt
Samsung Spin 1TB

So basically I want it to be a very fast responding computer able to multitask.
Running Multiple Pages or games at once..
Good Video Editing..
storing lots of Data/Video/Games Etc

I used to have a AMD Phenom ii6... and it was pretty good to me even on stock speed... would this 8 core make a huge difference? if not maybe ill just go with the AMD 6 core FX version... save 100$ or so

What is your budget for this?
Another option is to get the Xeon 1231v3. It provides i7 class performance at an i5 price point. It is a 4770 lacking an iGPU for the price of a 4690k.
Given this, I would also recommend an R9 380.
