My hardware: Intel i5-4670k CPU, Asus GeForce GTX 760 GPU, Rosewill N900PCE duel-band N wireless adapter

I'm running Windows 8.1 and the driver appears to install correctly at first, but when I restart afterwards, I get a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. I tried installing the Windows 7 version in compatibility mode but it did the exact same thing. After restoring Win8 I'm able to use the adapter but it is a lot slower than it should be (I can't play any games or look at more than 1 stream at a time without lag). Is it safe to assume that the reason my internet is so slow is because it isn't installed correctly? And what can I do to fix it? There are a couple posts with the exact same problem but none of them have a solution, I can provide any other information if it helps, thanks for your time.

Solution
Rosewill only have Windows 8.0 drivers for that wireless card. Windows 8.1 requires updated drivers for most devices, which Rosewill have not yet released. That could be the cause of your problem.
