New Router/Firewall Recommendation

I have a fairly old router/firewall that I want to replace. I'm not concerned about WiFi but am concerned about security. My current router has not had updates available for years.
Does anybody have recommendations for something that has excellent security?

You might consider a software firewall (supplement/GUI to Windows firewall) on your OS such as Glasswire....; it will display all connections in/out, applications that opened them, countries of origin, and, for the paid version (and during the trial) the ability to quickly /easily block any desired connection

As far as individual routers go, I'm very happy with the Linksys WRT1900ACS...
