I purchased a new router (TP Link AC1350) when my old Asus RT-N16 died, it has 10/100 ethernet jacks and I have a 70/15 Mbps connection. (Modem is in bridge mode)

Since the install, my wired speeds have been absolute crap, i am only getting 4-8 Mbps down instead of my normal 50-55 Mbps down, and I am only getting 8-9 Mbps up instead of my normal 12-15 up.

I upgraded the firmware and it popped the down speed up to 22Mbps, but now the speeds are back to being single digits. I have tried:

1. changing the DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 - that had no effect
2. swapping jacks - no effect
3. Hard-lined into the modem on the primary pc - speeds were about the same
4. Hard-lined into a second PC to the modem - it got 50/12 speeds
5. reset the modem and router - no effect
6. turned off QoS in the router - no effect

I cannot think of anything else, I really do not have the funds for a $200 Asus router so that is not an option.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

This suggests the primary PC, rather than the modem. Suggest you open a command window on both PCs, and type ipconfig/all and compare the differences, and see if anything is amiss on the primary PC.

I looked over all 3 pcs, and they all appear to have the same settings.
