Question New RTX 3060 black screen.

Just purchased a new PNY RTX 3060 to replace or use along a GTX1060. Motherboard is a asus z270h. In removed the 1060, installed the 3060. There was no video signal, blackscreen.

I was not able to get a video signal of the onboard gpu on the motherboard. I tried installing the 1060, it did not work. I had to remove both cards. After that is was able to have a signal out of the onboard GPU. I had downloaded the driver. My PSU is a 850W Corsair. I tried with HDMI and displayport.

plug in the pcie power to the gpu?
it is a modular psu? check the other end too

My psi is a corsair rm850x. The pcie cable is a 6+2 serial but the first plug is connected to the gpu the second one is not used.
