I bought a new computer in january and now the computer started to get blue screen. So I checked my speccy and it says over 90 degrees celcius on the temperature. 🙁

All fans are on, but im not sure what could be wrong. Could it be the thermal pasta already? I didn't add any I let the manufacturers built in pasta be it.

My CPU is a AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor with a AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler on top.

I use "Phanteks Eclipse P400S Glass Silent". Graphicscard: MSI GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Gaming X

MSI X470 GAMING PLUS, Socket-AM4 motherboard.

Thank you.

Remember that ambient temperatures are important here, for every degree you are over manufacturers test temperature, is another degree hotter you will experience.

As others have stated, first port of call is to recheck that the cooler is appropriate seated.
Are these high temperatures under low loads or high loads?
What cooler are you using? If using aftermarket cooler did you remove any plastic film on the bottom part?
Also reapply the thermal paste on the cpu, the old one may be dried out.
Also as a note wraith stealth cooler is not a very good cooler for high load applications and I would invest in a aftermarket cooler.

I don't think that the paste being 6 months old should cause that.
I would check to see if the cooler came loose.
Also, do you know if the temps were always this high?
Another thing you can do is run with the case open and see if or....how much....it goes down.
If it goes down significantly I would look at adding case cooling or I would run with the case open.
Also.....you can look in the BIOS and see if you can increase the fan curve.

I'm using the AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler that came with the CPU. And it has pre-applied thermal paste.

Okay, thank you. I thought that cooler would do.

A late reply... 😛 How do I know what a good fan curve is?
