Hello!

I recently purchased a new mobo and Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU. All was running fine, until today whenever I open a game and play for around 5 minutes, the temp will jump from 60-70 to around 90c.

I have my fan speed on max.
My idle temps are 50-60c.
I've reapplied thermal paste.
I've used several different temp programs, all showing the same.
Once I exit the game it goes back to normal.
The CPU doesn't feel hot if I put my hand near it.
Coolant temp is about 33c.
No spikes in usage for CPU (10-20%)

What's strange is that the temp doesn't move from 89c, not even by a single decimal. Could it be something to do with the sensors? My core temps are nowhere near the CPU temp. The graph below is as soon as I opened a game.

Update: I done a bit more testing, now I'm even more confused...

After playing other games and stress testing my CPU, the temp maxes out at 80c with 100% CPU usage.

However, it looks like my temp is spiking at 89c on a certain game, in the exact area each time, even though my CPU usage for all cores is around 20%. The game also crashes at this point.

I guess the solution is just to avoid that area in the game, but I have no idea what else can cause that high of a temp when my power + CPU usage is so low? Anyone else have any ideas?
