I've just fitted an Asus Xonar Phoebus Solo sound card and now my SSD doesn't appear to be booting. I can't seem to do anything in my BIOS as my keyboard doesn't seem to work and I wouldn't really know what I'm doing. When turned on it says 'reboot and select proper boot device'. I've put my Winows 7 disk in to boot with and reinstall but when it comes to choosing the drive to install onto, it can't detect my SSD drive. What on earth do I do?

Solution
Bobjob86, just have a little time here during my lunch break, so here are a couple really quick things.
You say your keyboard doesn't work; Regardless, please try booting and when the first screen comes up it should give you an option to go into 'setup'. Push whatever key it lists (depends upon mobo manufacture where it is a specific F-key or the more common "delete" key) and see if it will open the BIOS so you can set the boot priority IN the BIOS. If you can get into the BIOS/UEFI, then the keyboard is working. Also, your SSD should be listed on the opening screen of your BIOS.
In the BIOS find the boot configuration section and set your SSD to the SECOND boot device, your optical/DVD drive should be the first device. Exit, and...
Hopefully you haven't tried several "fixes" as that may complicate things.
First, shut down and unplug the computer, then remove the new sound card.
Also check to be sure that the SSD SATA cable is firmly installed in both the mobo and the SSD, And that the power cable is still plugged into the SSD.
Restart the computer and see if it boots.
Repost with results and we can go from there.

Exit, and select "save and exit" or what ever term is used to save the configuration, and see if she boots. (make sure the Windows disc is out of the DVD drive).
So that we know what we are working with, please let us know what your system specs are..
Gotta go, get back to you in a litttle while.
