Hi guys and gals. I've just purchased a lenovo Legion 5p and installed a Samsung 980 1tb m.2 that I purchased from amazon warehouse. It was supposedly a damaged box but it looked brand new to me. Ive installed it correctly and lenovo vantage picks it up, but says 100% in RED . Windows doesn't pick it up under devices and drives. Does the 100% in red mean its full? And why wouldn't Windows recognise its there? Newbie so please help lol

My goodness I am such a noob lol. A simple google search found this problem and YouTube vid showed me how to allocate it and rename it etc. And now it even shows 0% used in lenovo vantage. Thanks!
Hi. Well the factory ssd already installed says 21% in blue which is obviously used for windows etc. So I assumed the 100% in red meant full. I have found disk management and it shows "disk 1" 931.51gb unallocated and not initialised. Do I have to initialise it, if so how? No information in the ssd booklet that came with it about this.

You're welcome.
I was going to tell you how but you are too fast for me.
Glad you got it figured out.
it must show 100% red when it's not initialized or formatted.
