New SSD and operating system

I'm thinking of getting this SSD:
Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB 2.5 inch Solid State Drive

With this SSD, I wish to put Windows 7 onto to it, but i'm bit confused do I need a CD or just a product key?

If I need a CD of windows 7 may someone link me to it.

Go to that website to get a clean, legitimate download of Windows 7. You'll need to specify 32 or 64 bit. To obtain the download, you will need to enter a valid windows product key.

Microsoft also provides a USB installation tool for Windows. This software prepares a USB flash drive as a Windows Installation drive, from which you will be able to install Windows to your new SSD from. That USB tool can be downloaded here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

You will also need a Valid Windows 7 license key to access the download and a USB stick to install from.
USB is MUCH faster to install Windows than DVD, but you can choose DVD if you want.
