Hello guys,

I am thinking of buying SSD to my build.

A320 mobo
CPU ryzen 1300x
Gpu Geforce 1060 3gb
16gb ram DDR4 2667mhz
2 HDD 1tb each no ssd drive yet
550w power supply

I am thinking of
Samsung 860 EVO 1000GB vs ADATA Ultimate SU650 SSD 960GB

I Wonder why the Samsung is so much more expensive over the ADATA.

It is really worth it?

Another question is my curent drivers are almost full, of course when i buy new ssd i want to have OS on SSD drive. I do not want to reinstall OS and loose all my stuff plus OS, MS Word, One configuration etc Also instaled games. Is there a way to somehow copy my curent disk HDD to my new SSD drive and everything will remian as it is expect it will be moved to SSD drive?

Thank you for answers

Solution

A 1TB HDD, with 5GB free, for cloning to an SSD you need:
1. A 1TB SSD
2. Remove about 200GB from your current C. A clone operation needs some free space to work, and the resulting SSD needs free space anyway.

We can go into specific steps once you get to that "800GB" point.

The ADATA is currently $142USD

The Samsung 860 is currently $158

Your market price may vary.

$16 difference, I'd absolutely get the Samsung.

C drive is almost full currently 5gb are free.
OS is win 10 PRO. Range is around 200usd.

OK Samsung vs ADATA is 40% faster but it is noticable for normal usage.

I do not steam do not have servers etc
