hi again guys sold last pc....bought this supposed gaming pc this from eBay UK arrived today ..was very disappointed any recommendations for improvements?
Spec :-

Case : Galaxy 3 Modern Midi Tower Case
Power Supply : 500 Watt With Power Cable Supplied
Motherboard : Gigabyte F2A55M-HD2
CPU : AMD FM2 Athlon 750K Quad Core CPU 3.4Ghz (turbo 4.0Ghz)
Hard Drive : 1tb Sata Hard Drive
Memory : 8gb DDR3 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance Memory
Graphics Card : Geforce GT610 2Gb (dedicated gfx card dual screen capable)
Optical Drive : 24x Dual Layer DVD Writer

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the PC?

The items that would need to be upgraded are the CPU, Mobo, and GPU- Possibly power supply but we would need to know the model/maker or you could take a picture of the power supply by opening up the case.

Probably the first item to upgrade (assuming the power supply is ok) would be the graphics card, the gt 610 is not a gaming card.
Depending on budget and your location i would go with one of these:

$150 - Gtx 750ti
$200 - Radeon 270x
$250 - gtx 760

Next would be the CPU and mobo. Again depending on budget these are some options

<$200 - fx 6320 & AM3+ mobo
$250 - Fx 8320 & AM3+ mobo
$350 - i5-4670k & Z87 mobo

Wow. Whoever labeled that a gaming PC must only play Bejeweled.

Without knowing the brand (probably no-name) of the PSU or your budget, hard to recommend a GPU. Based on this article would go with something like a R7 240 or better yet a 250X.

The CPU is also pretty entry level so another reason not to pair it with a high end GPU.
