New System Not Turning On: At All

This is the fourth computer I've built now, I have a fairly good handle on the process, however this is my first time running into this problem, and I cannot resolve it for the life of me. To get it out there off the bat, I've gone though the sticky post checklist:
The 12v power 8-pin is plugged in.
Memory is in the right socket.
CPU has no bent pins.
Risers are set below the MB.
Everything is attached, secure, triple checked (more than.)
All components are either new, or have been used before and are functional.
MB Manual calls for 300 watts, I'm running on a 500 watt supply.
CPU Fan is plugged in.
Front panel pins are all connected, again more than triple checked. (Tried reversing as well.)
Graphics card is powered. (6-pin)
I have made sure for a fact that I've had no static discharges.
PSU Switched on.

The motherboard has power! The standby light is a shiny green, and has been every time I've wired up the case.

Despite all of this. I hook up power, press the power button, and nothing. Absolutely nothing, no front panel lights, no fans, no beeps, no HD whirling, just silence.

I've been looking at this for hours, and have browsed for hours more, I wouldn't normally post, but every post I finds seems to at least get things running before they explode or die. That being said, if anyone has any suggestions, I would be glad to hear them. Thank you in advance.

Try disconnecting the front panel power button leads from the motherboard and jumpering the pins. It could be something as simple as a bad switch.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by jumpering them, though I have tried a separate case to see if it was a power -button- issue, still no avail. I am imagining currently it must simple be a factory dead MB, or more specifically an issue on board with the pins / connections themselves. How would I go about your method?

I agree with BadActor, it sounds like an issue either with the switch itself or how the tiny front panel wires are connected. Double check your connections there.

Have replaced the motherboard completely, still blanks, going to try an alternate CPU then power supply next.

Working CPU tested form another tower, no response.

Is it strictly possible I could have the standby light lighting up, and also have the PSU be trash?
That, or I do believe my MB User Guide does not state our RAM as compatible (Ballistix not even being listed at all in this guide.), though I don't think that matters, DDR3 1600 RAM should be sufficient.

Yes, if there is a problem with the Power On Good Signal from the PSU, it will prevent the system from turning on.
