new system or graphics card

i have some money and it's just enough for one upgrade..

i5 3570k

Gigabyte GA-P75-D3 Socket 1155 Motherboard

Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL10 1.5V


or i can get SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB GDDR5

now this is my current specs

some old dual core processor

4 gb ddr3 1333mhz ram

intel g41m combo

gigabyte hd 6850 extreme oc

i'd love to get the card first but i'm wondering would it be compatible with every thing else and would it hold out for 2 or 3 months till i buy the rest of the stuff...
thanks in advance.

update: i mainly use my pc for gaming, but would the new platform with my old card be good enough for new games?!... right now i'm struggling with most new games .

Get a new system. If you only got a new graphics card the old CPU would bottleneck.

I would go with I5 3350P with that board since it will not allow you to overclock the 3570K. Either way upgrade the GPU first, it will work, or the platform is your choice but I would go with the platform since the HD6850 will hold you over for few months.

are you sure the motherboard won't let me over clock?!... if not, can you recommend a good motherboard for this processor?

Get a new system. If you only got a new graphics card the old CPU would bottleneck.

do a new build,u would be bottlenecked by the dual core(as u are saying it's old enough).If u are getting a hd7970,then you would be very very very badly bottlenecked.And the mobo isn't that good.just do a new build.

seems a descent enough build.. but when it comes to the budget it's just a pain in the a**.. i live in Egypt prices here are usually 30$ higher give or take, i wont even start on the exchange rates prices change from week to week.. the build i just mentioned costs 3275 egp today that's about 468$ on amazon it costs 415$.. and probably next week it'll cost more.. any way you don't need to bother your self with all the calculations.. just tell me what you think about the build
