My new system

(AMD 5800X
ASUS ROG B550-f WiFi
MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 2080 Super
2 x 8 GB Ballistix Memory
1 TB Samsung 980 M.2 Drive
256 GB SanDisk SSD (with Windows 10 installed)
Noctua NH-U12S
PowerSpec 650W PSU)

refuses to boot. I plug it in, power it on, and the fans spin up, however it does not start and the monitor stays in sleep mode. The QLEDs on the motherboard do not light up. The BIOS Flashback LED is a solid red. The case fans and GPU fans continue to spin as long as it is on. The CPU fan spins for about a second then stops. The RGB lights stay on.

I double checked that all of the cables were plugged in, tried multiple monitors with multiple cables in GPU and Motherboard HDMI and DisplayPort ports, cleared the CMOS, and flashed the latest BIOS update, but nothing worked.

The BIOS Flashback LED is a solid red
That is definitely not normal. From the motherboard manual:
"If the light flashes for five seconds and turns into a solid light, this means that the BIOS FlashBack™ is not operating properly"
Something tells me your attempts to update BIOS had failed for whatever reason. Check the manual again how to do it properly and retry.

There seems to be two LEDS. A green one with the IO in the back and a red one next to the 12V ATX Connector. The manual indicates that the red one is the BIOS Flashback LED, but after holding the Flashback button it is the green one that blinks (the red one does not turn on at all). The green one continues for much longer than five seconds and the manual does not say anything about this scenario. After it stopped blinking I turned the system on, but nothing changed.

Yes. The picture is pretty blurry, but it is definitely an led on the motherboard. I wasn’t removing the cpu and ram before when I was doing the bios flashback before, so I am trying that now.

Bad news…
I talked to asus’s customer service and they said the board was unresponsive (after taking the ram out no qleds we’re on)

thanks a ton for your help!
