Well, I'm using dual 17" crt's with my 9600 Pro. Havn't had a problem. Plugged it in, got them set up (which one I wanted as my primary), and havn't looked back since.

No matter where you go, there you are.

OMG, WOW!!!

[UFO_WARVIPER finishes gocking @ ecar's new system]

2 gig's of memory? I'm wondering what application you'll be running that will be killing all that memory. It certainly won't be DOOM ]|[ (D3 should work decent with only 512 megs)!

Well, he does have a 9800 Pro AIW. He's probably building a gaming system from what I judge from those specs. If he is indeed a gamer then I can see where he may have been compelled to post this in the graphics card forum, even though this thread is a little misplaced.

Then again, I'm running into alot of speculation. But still, these forums are meant to help people out, regardless of whether their knowledgeable about how to use the forums properly.

LOL!!! Not again!!

Well at least this guy got 2gigs of memory on ACCIDENT!

But seriously dude, I recommend you return it, and get ONE gig (2 is unneccessary) of BETTER memory, DDR 433, 466, or even 500.

With that board/cpu you could potentially do some serious overclocking (a new/better mobo would help here too), but currently you'll be bound by the memory. Get some Corsair XMS or Kingston HyperX, or GEiL PC3500 or better.

i'm guessing that if u want that stuff they want u to buy a dell!!!!!

the post in this forum is regarding games and dual screens....
usually I look forward to GW's posts but lately he's been quite unresponsive.....

3 gigs? Uh, no. You need 5 gigs of RAM to run Doom III. Duh... Anyways, ecar, run 3dmark01 and 03 and tell us how you do. Also, if you have the means, I'd like to see some Splinter Cell numbers with a system like that. MS FlightSim 2004, too.

Oh yeah, I think the deal is that WindowsXP can run with up to 4gigs of RAM, but you won't see any performance increases over 1 or 1.5gigs. That's what I heard, anyway...

nVidia cheated on me so I left her for ATi. ATi's hotter anyway...

Great choice in cards. The standard 9800 Pro with 128MB supports dual monitors, while the AIW version doesn't.
