So I'm new to building desktops and I'd like to know if these parts would make a good gaming one. I'd also like to know what can I do to improve it not going over 700€. I also need a sound card. Thanks for your time.

Cpu: AMD FX 6-CORE 6300 (3.5GHZ) BLACK SOCKET AM3+
MOTHERBOARD: ASROCK H97M PRO4
Memory: KINGSTON 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ HYPERX FURY BLACK
Case: ATX NOX COOLBAY SX RED DEVIL 3.0
Storage: SEAGATE 1TB SATA III
Power supply: CORSAIR MODULAR CX-500W M (80+)
Graphics card: MSI GTX960 ARMOR OC 2GB DDR5

Hello. It's good you asked because those parts will not work together.

You have selected an AMD CPU, but your motherboard is intended for an Intel CPU. They will not work together.

Modern motherboards have decent to very good sound built in. What is the reason you need a sound card, are you going to do something special?

Do you need WiFi or Bluetooth?

What market are you buying in? The prices are quite different across the Eurozone, so when we know where you are, we can make specific suggestions.

A good Intel processor for the motherboard you selected would be the i5 4460.
A good motherboard for the AMD processor you selected would be the ASRock 970 Pro3 (or the 2.0 version)

I'm mainly going to use sound to game, I don't need to have very good sound, just enough. I live in Europe, Portugal to be exact and I might need wifi. I'd be very appreciated if you could build me one for lees than 700€, 600€ would be perfect. Thanks for replying

I'll reiterate what donkeyoatie said pretty much JUST I wouldn't entertain the asrock 970 boards ,they're subpar at their price point IMO - they'll do the job with a 6300 but depending on where you are there are very likely better boards available.

Everythingcelse fine ,you'll get a few arguingvthat the corsair 500 is subpar but IMO its decent enough & will suit those components fine on a budget.

I did a build for someone from Portugal the other day. The noticed that Amazon-Spain had some better prices and free shipping.

These are Spanish prices and over budget, but you can swap in local pieces, saving on the motherboard, memory and CPU I think.
