New to homebuilding, need advice on build

Hi all,

Here's the build I'm thinking of going with, any suggestions for improvement/cost saving? Game-wise I'll be using it at the moment mainly for Civ V and Starcraft 2. Timeframe, probably within the next week or two.

Are there any incompatibility issues or other things I should be aware of? Thanks!

You can go with the i5-760 for only $10 more.

The Gigabyte version of the 1GB GTX 460 is $30 cheaper than the Asus one you picked and has a higher stock clock rate.

Unless you plan to add the maximum 16GB ram to your build later, getting a dual channel 2x2gb set would be a better option. You also have a better selection of DDR31600 ram. This is a good low latency ram for gaming.

The Spinpoint F3 1TB has a $16 off promotion until next monday, dropping its price down to $59.

You may want to get a SATA DVD Burner and not an IDE model. Like this one.
