Question New to pc gaming/editing

If been researching for the last while and have been wanting to build a pc up. What I've came up with so far is a custom build with a gtx 1060/ryzen 5 2600/ 256 ssd / 2tb hd / 16gig ram / case / fans / 650w bronze power supply / asus rog strix b450 motherboard. Which all in after canadien pricing cost 1500$. But then a came across a refurbished hp system from best buy for 989.99 which after tax is 1111$, it includes. HP Gaming Z230 Tower,Intel Core I7-4770 3.4G,16G RAM,240G SSD+3TB,DVD-RW,GTX 1060 6G OC,WIFI,BT4.0,W10H64. My question is it worth buying the hp tower which is 650$ off the regular price and just upgrade the parts as needed? Like a more esitically pleasing case and fans ect

If you are looking for opinions.....I wouldn't go with the refurbished unless it had a really great warranty and even then I might not because you really don't know what you might get into.....and why create grief for yourself.

Honestly that refurbished hp was a weak build when it was new. It has 240w psu, outdated processor etc. Stay away from that junk. Have you tried https://pcpartpicker.com/ ? You can put together a build with all kinds of choices and it will give you prices as you go along. It is a great tool to build a computer.
