Question New to pc need help :)

hey guys im new pc and i have ddr3 ram 12 gb 1650 oc 4gb i52500k i was wondering do i need to upgrade anything yet because some games i can play but some i cant eg Rainbow 6 Siege i get about 110 fps but it will drop randomly to 80.
i was wondering if i could play gta v.?
Should i upgrade my motherboard so i can get ddr4?

I think that CPU could support a GTX 1060, GTX 1660 and even a GTX 1070 but that is as far as I would go.....and AMD....an RX 580 or RX 590.

Those will get you more fps.

would $320 AUD be a good pice for a GTX 1070?

A 1070 is more than id run on an an old 2500k.

I run an overclocked ryzen 3 and 580. My cou bottlenecks and causes framdrops in gtav.

Buy a 2600k and then a better gpu.

I'm seeing $320 AUD is about $220 USD (if I'm right) and if you can get it for that I think it's a great price as they are going for $350 ish in the states.

....and the reason I think a 1070 might work OK with your CPU is I used to run a GTX 1060 with an i7-920 and they worked well together....and your CPU is a bit faster than my old i7-920.

I think your CPU may hold it back a little.....but not much.

The 8 threaded i7 would be better than the 4 thread i5, even though the 2500k has better 1c performance
