New W3960 installed, computers whirring but nothing onscreen

Hello all,

I just installed a second hand (for my sins) W3960 into my Gigabyte EX58-UD5. Removing a i7-920 in the process. Now the new CPU was clean and whilst i don't have a vast experience to my knowledge, everything was installed properly. I had updated my BIOS to the most recent version (F13) before beginning. I reapplied the heat-sink, and plugged back in.

When i turned the computer back on it powered but I'm getting nothing on my monitor. I can hear regular sounding noises like the drives being accessed which makes me think there's life in the girl but i cannot work out why I'm not getting anthing.

Can you fantastic guys and girls point me in the right direction?

I think it is a good idea to first see if the motherboard posts, so unplug the hard drive/s and dvd drives and try turning your computer on
Do you see anything?
