Hey guys. I have recently started PC gaming after moving on from consoles and looking to build my own rig.
I am basing my build off a pre-built system, however I will buy the parts separately so I can learn the art of assembling myself, and hopefully save some money.
I will have to purchase everything that is required, however I am only chasing advice on the PC its self, not the monitor or any peripherals.
I am Australian, so my preferred website is www.pccasegear.com , as it is an Australian company and the shipping and parts are cheaper for me.
The parts list is as follows:
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212X CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Motherboard
Graphics: Palit GeForce GTX 780 3GB
Memory: G.Skill Sniper F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Solid State Drive: Samsung 840 Series 120GB SSD Retail Box
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
Optical Drive: Pioneer DVR-220LBKS Black 24x DVD Drive
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower Case Black
Power Supply: Silverstone Strider Plus 600W ST60F-P
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 Home Premium 64bit
It comes to a total of $2000 AUD. This is the pre-built price, link is below.

I would like some advice on this build in regards to the parts and suitability. Basically do the parts in this build:
-complement each other,
-any parts that are excessive in comparison to others,
-could money be saved anywhere,
-any general advice you think I might need.
My budget is $2000-$2100 AUD
I have an alright knowledge with computers, I just lack the experience that you fine gentleman and lady's have.
Im not looking to overclock or SLI, and I prefer NVIDIA.
The computer will be used mainly for gaming, with web surfing. I'm looking to play most games at highest settings, and hopefully have a bit of future proofing.
Apologies for the post length, just trying to give all details
Cheers, Scott
