Hi NG,

I have a ASUS P4P800 Deluxe motherboard and using it with 2 SATA harddrives.
I just bought a 3rd SATA hard drive I would like to install it, but it looks
like it's not possible (didn't think about it before I purchased the hard
drive).

Is there any way that I can add a 3rd SATA harddrive to the P4P800 Deluxe?

If not, then I'll have to see if I can swap the drive for a: "Seagate
Barracuda 7200.7 Plus. 200 GB / 7200 rpm / 8 MB / ATA-100 / 8.5 ms. ATA-100"
that I should be able to install right?

Any comments or suggestions are warmly welcome

You can get SATA (drive) to IDE (motherboard) converters
(sometimes called 'converter cables') for around UK20/US30,
but there are ones that go the other way, so be sure of what
you are buying. Swapping it for an IDE drive would be the
best option - the less 'converter' hardware, the less chance
of incompatiblities. Besides, your deluxe mobo came with
cables for both IDE and SATA, so why not use 'em! :)

Thanks Rob,
You're right. And I checked from the hardware store and they offer 14 days
full return right, so I'm going to swap the drive.
